With deep regret, the Big Chili Board of Directors has announced the cancellation of the 2020 Big Chili Cook-Off Music & Arts Festival, due to public health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.  After a thorough review of current guidelines for the State of Colorado and Jefferson County, the board has determined that the event cannot be held as it has the past 18 years.  Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 11, 2021.  If you would like to be contacted regarding the 2021 event, contact Lora Knowlton, Event Director at info@bigchili.org.  

Big Chili, Inc., invites local businesses and organizations to participate in this year's Big Chili Cook-Off Music & Arts Festival as a sponsor. Why be a sponsor? To support your community and the mountain community fire departments! It's that simple. 

 

Event beneficiaries include the Elk Creek, Evergreen, Indian Hills, Inter Canyon, North Fork and Platte Canyon Mountain Area Fire Districts. Funds received from the community will be used to purchase items that tax dollars do not cover, like special fire-resistant clothing, boots, wildland tools, new and improved firefighting equipment, computers, SCBA cascade systems (fills oxygen tanks for firefighters), new cardiac monitors, new radio systems, replacing mobile radios in trucks and ambulances, new pagers and chargers, portable radios, updating old bunker gear, fire and rescue equipment, funds for training opportunities, and MORE!
